Georgia Caregiver of the Year Awards

Each year, the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving recognizes the incredible men and women who serve as caregivers in the State of Georgia, where RCI is based. Through our Georgia Caregiver of the Year celebration, we honor the hard work, sacrifice, and compassion of caregivers across the state.

The 2020 Georgia Caregiver of the Year celebration is generously sponsored by our partners at Seniorlink.

RCI works with our regional network of CARENETs to solicit nominations, with CARENET partners submitting one Regional Winner in each of the three categories: Volunteer, Para-Professional, and Family. The state winner will be selected from the regional winners by the Rosalynn Carter Institute team.

The Volunteer, Para-Professional, and Family winners of the Georgia Caregiver of the Year awards will receive a gilded rose and a check for $1,000. Winners will be announced in November 2020.

The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers has formally merged with The Carter Center, now functioning under its Mental Health Program.

By uniting the work of these organizations — both rooted in Mrs. Carter’s lifelong vision and leadership — we are taking concrete steps to expand support, champion policies, and develop innovative solutions for the millions of family caregivers who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones.

Together, we will ensure that caregivers and individuals facing mental health challenges are seen, heard, and supported — now and in the future.
