President Biden’s Executive Order on Care

On April 18, RCI joined other care advocates at the White House to watch President Biden sign the most extensive executive order on care in American history. The order, which includes 50 executive actions, will connect family caregivers to vital support, make care more affordable and accessible to families, and improve job quality and compensation for the care workforce.

We join America’s 53 million family caregivers and care advocates across the country in celebrating this important step toward better systems of care for all.

The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers has formally merged with The Carter Center, now functioning under its Mental Health Program.

By uniting the work of these organizations — both rooted in Mrs. Carter’s lifelong vision and leadership — we are taking concrete steps to expand support, champion policies, and develop innovative solutions for the millions of family caregivers who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones.

Together, we will ensure that caregivers and individuals facing mental health challenges are seen, heard, and supported — now and in the future.
